Horlick Athletic Field
Horlick Field is a 5,000-seat football stadium and baseball park surrounded by stone walls and chain gates on the north side of Racine, Wisconsin, in the United States. William Horlick, the originator of malted milk, provided the property for the field. Walter Dick, who also designed the North Beach Beach House, designed it in 1907.

Since 1919, football has been a part of Horlick Field’s history. The Horlick – Racine Legion, a member of the NFL from 1922 to 1924, and the Racine Tornadoes, an NFL franchise in 1926, both called it home. Horlick Field is now home to the Racine Raiders, a minor league team in the Mid-States Football League.
The baseball diamond is where high school and local league teams play their regular-season games and local tournaments, and championship games. The park has hosted the Old Timer’s Athletic Club Softball Tournament for almost three decades.
The Racine Belles, immortalized in the film A League of Their Own, called Horlick Field their home while the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League was in existence.
Horlick Field has hosted 99 drums, and bugle corps shows through 2013. Between 1962 and 1978, the stadium hosted 57 drum and bugle corps shows, an average of almost 3.5 shows a year.
The field also offers a playground and picnic area, making it the perfect spot for a family outing.
The Racine County Fairgrounds are also located in the same area, making it easy for visitors to enjoy both attractions. In addition to the baseball and softball fields, Horlick Athletic Field also features a football field and four tennis courts. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, making it easy for visitors to find time to enjoy a game.

We just completed our dream kitchen remodel with Waldron Construction. We are extremely pleased with the results. Angie helped us through the design and was always a text/phone call away. The trades were excellent and were great to work with. Of course there were hiccups in the process but nothing that couldn’t be worked out. Having the schedule in front of us daily through builder trend was great too. Joe was very responsive whenever we had questions or concerns.
